Ofsted and SIAMS Inspection

This page contains the most recent Ofsted & SIAMS inspections for our school. You may be wondering what is an Ofsted & SIAMS inspection?

Below is an explanation of what these inspections are and a copy of the schools report.

What is an Ofsted Inspection?

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. We report directly to Parliament and we are independent and impartial. We inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages.

Every week, they carry out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits throughout England, and publish the results on their website.

The aim of all this work is to promote improvement and value for money in the services they inspect and regulate, so that children and young people, parents and carers and employers benefit.

What is a SIAMS Inspection?

SIAMS inspection focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it.  Church schools will employ a variety of strategies and styles, which reflect their particular local context or church tradition in order to be distinctive and effective. Inspectors will, therefore, not be looking to apply a preconceived template of what a church school should be like. bbc
